Pancreatic cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related death in the United States with a five-year survival rate of just 9 percent. Early detection tools and better treatment options are urgently needed, which require major research funding.
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) aims to significantly increase investment in research by raising $200 million by 2020 to double the survival rate. In their mission to save lives, the nonprofit charity attacks pancreatic cancer on all fronts: research, patient services, clinical initiatives and advocacy. This world-renowned organization seeks to improve patient outcomes today and give families a future with hope.
Prior to choosing MediaValet, PanCAN stored their fundraising, marketing and advocacy photos and videos on corporate servers and personal hard drives, held across multiple locations. Finding their assets was difficult, and the organization desired a new solution.
With MediaValet’s digital asset management system (DAM) in place, the organization now provides staff and volunteers access to one central and organized library of assets. Internal workers and external affiliates can upload assets from around the world in real-time, as they document the organization’s events and campaigns. PanCAN’s assets will continue to grow as they increase their efforts, and now they have a DAM that will grow with them.
MediaValet is humbled to be the DAM solution for PanCAN. You can read more about their adoption of MediaValet in the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network Success Story.
